You might be wondering "what is this all about"?

Well - this is the result of many conversations about how harsh the atmosphere seems to have become. All over the world - but also in our small town of Ojai. It seems to us that in these times we suffer from deep divisions, leading to terrible polarization. Over and over we asked ourselves how everybody seemed to have gotten so angry all the time. Can't somebody do something about these divisions!?! We were getting angry about all the anger. Ironic, right?

So we decided to do... something. To not just sit and stew. To at least try.

Just to start somewhere, somehow. And the result brought you here.

We believe that small acts of kindness have the power to create change in our valley. While these gestures may seem insignificant on their own, we hope their impact will ripple outward, touching the lives of community members in meaningful ways. Whether it's a smile shared with a stranger, a respectful conversation with somebody we don't agree with, or a thoughtful compliment given to a friend, each act of kindness contributes to a collective culture of compassion and empathy.

Our hope is that committing, receiving and hearing about these small kindnesses will create moments of connection. A short pause to contemplate kindness.  Maybe even enough moments that, together, have the potential to break down barriers, foster understanding, and inspire others to buck the trend, creating a ripple effect of positivity that hopefully extends far beyond the initial gesture. Who knows?

Now, you might think we are crazy, naive people who think they can change our world to the better with a few fliers...

No. We know we can’t change the world. Not alone. But maybe… maybe together we can?
